Inspired by the majestic redwoods in California's forests, the El Dorado candle sculpture features two charcoal-grey tealight candle holders set across three sets of red wood staves. The El Dorado harkens back to the Gold Rush, when prospectors from around the world were drawn to the land of "El Dorado", a mythical city of gold. The staves are set in a pattern that mimics the tailrace of Sutter's Mill, where gold was discovered in California in 1848.
